Preserved Roses
Yes, roses can last for years. Not just roses, but hydrangeas, ivy, plumosum,
pepperberries, orchids, and more. They are called "fresh preserved" because they
have a natural fresh look unlike the dried flowers.
We use them to create our unique one of a kind designs.
History of dried flowers
Since the beginning of mankind flowers and herbs have been dried for medicinal and
decorative purpose.
In the flower business we refer to dried flowers and foliage to the botanical products which are dried simply hanging the product
upside down. Or when commercially produced will be heated in special drying rooms with dehydrators.
Another method for drying is silica gel.
The dried method has it's beauty, but the product shrinks over 50% and it is brittle.
A new method, freeze drying was introduced in the 80's. Special freeze drying machines were developed, but it appears that new
technological breakthrough to preserve flowers surpassed the freeze drying technique. Preserved is the term that applies to the
newest method of preservation which includes glycerin, secret polymers and color added to.
This are the top roses in the market today and we carry here in Ft Lauderdale or they can be shipped anywhere.
Enjoy your visit.
